How this works
Every morning at 6am, a lot of cybersecurity news gets scraped, read, and ruthlessly triaged before I've had my first coffee.
The pipeline
- 20+ vetted sources: government advisories, investigative reporting, industry publications, and practitioner communities.
- A self-hosted n8n automation orchestrates the workflow inside a hardened Docker container with network isolation.
- Google Gemini reads every article using scoring criteria I developed over 8 years of IT audit work. It weighs what a GRC professional actually cares about (regulatory changes, active exploits affecting controls, vendor issues that might land in your next audit) over general industry chatter.
- The output lands here via a lightweight JSON pipeline. No database. No server. No cost.
- Built with graceful degradation: if the feed pipeline has a bad day, you'll see yesterday's data with a clear notice rather than a broken page.
The tiering scale
| Tier | Meaning | What it looks like |
|---|---|---|
| S | Act now | Zero-days, active breaches, major regulatory changes |
| A | Read today | Significant vulnerabilities, notable threat actor activity, new guidance |
| B | Read this week | Vendor updates, moderate threat intel, background context |
| C | Skim if interested | General industry news, opinion pieces |
| D | Discarded | Marketing, duplicates, noise. Filtered out. |
Why I built this
GRC professionals drown in cybersecurity news. Most of it doesn't matter. This is my attempt to prove that AI curation, done thoughtfully, can save hours a week without missing the signal.
